Being honest about what I really want from my life - for the first time

(Watch the video first)

I hesitated at first.

Wondering what to say to this stranger. Then I thought f**k it - I’m going to say what I really want and then had an almost out of body experience as my deepest, truest thoughts became sounds. Words forming outside of my mind as I told another person what I most want from my life.

When I was asked this question, I’d spent the morning at a breast screening centre, having a lump checked out. Thankfully I was sent away with a clean bill of health, acutely aware that some of the women I’d waited next to, were facing a very different tomorrow.

The timing of this conversation was likely why I suddenly felt brave enough to say what I really wanted. The idea of holding back or feeling embarrassed about sharing my dreams, suddenly felt daft.

I want to build a community of women who want to change the world in some way, to leave a legacy.

What will unite the women in my community is knowing that to achieve this important goal, at this stage of their life, health and fitness becomes an absolute priority.

I want my business, my community to be invested in eating a healthy diet, staying fit and strong and taking care of themselves, so that they stay in peak physical and mental health to achieve more with the second half of their lives.

We only get one life, and that day was a reminder to live it. Which in that moment meant being honest about what I truly want, being brave enough to own it and feel proud of it, and have the courage to set out to achieve it.
